Why we built this
The equine supplement aisle is a sales tax on confusion. Twelve brands selling six versions of the same molecule, each in its own bottle, each with a label written to make you feel like you'd be a bad owner if you didn't add one more.
We're horse people. We did the math on what we were spending across a whole shelf of single-purpose supplements — the typical stack runs $8 to $12 per horse per day across mineral, fly, electrolyte, and gut-support products. We stopped pretending it was working and went looking for one product that did the work of the stack — packaged under a brand we'd put on our own shelf, dosed for the working horse, and priced at $2.87 per horse per day so the math actually works.
What's inside
Nutri-Mastic™ is the proprietary core: mastic gum from the resin of Pistacia lentiscus — a Mediterranean tree cultivated for over 2,500 years for the same purpose — paired with a full panel of seawater-derived ionic and trace minerals: potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and sulfates. Dosed for the working horse, not the casual paddock pony.
No proprietary-blend secrecy. Full ingredient panel and guaranteed analysis on the label. If you're a label-reader, this product is built for you.
Why it works
Most equine supplements ask your horse to eat them. We ask the horse's body to absorb them.
Ionic minerals carry the electrical impulses that drive muscle contraction. If the ratio is off, every workout costs more energy and every recovery takes longer. The seawater-derived mineral panel in Nutri-Mastic™ is in a form built for cellular uptake — meaning more of what's in the scoop reaches where it's supposed to go.
Mastic gum is the older half of the story. Used in Mediterranean herbal traditions for centuries. Modern research has examined its role in supporting the gut environment and the body's normal response to stress. Combined with the mineral panel, Nutri-Mastic™ is designed to support nutrient absorption at the cellular level — which is how a daily scoop's worth shows up in coat, condition, and consistency over months, not days.
How to use it
One scoop per day, mixed into feed. The label shows scoop size by horse weight band; most horses fall in the standard 1.1 oz / day range.
Mix it into the morning or evening feed — whichever fits your routine. Consistency matters more than time of day.
A standard bottle lasts about 157 days. We send refill reminders ~30 days out so you don't break the streak — or subscribe and the next bottle ships when you need it, $25 off per refill.
Always consult your veterinarian before introducing any new supplement, especially for horses in active treatment or competition with substance regulations.
What to expect in the first weeks
-
Days 1-7: gradual changes in stall ammonia smell as the horse processes feed more efficiently.
-
Week 2-4: changes in coat condition and overall presentation usually become visible.
-
Month 1-2: recovery between hard work shows up faster. Stiff-after-trailer becomes less of a thing.
-
Month 2+: steady, consistent condition. The owner stops noticing the supplement working because the horse just feels right.
Who it's for
- The working horse — ranch, trail, performance — whose daily output is high and whose recovery window matters.
- The senior horse — supporting normal mobility and condition as the system slows.
- The horse in transition — sale barn, new owner, schedule change — where digestive stability through change matters.
- The owner who's tired of building a four-supplement stack from a twelve-page catalog.
What the research supports
- Supports normal digestive function and hydration through electrolyte and ionic mineral content
- Supports post-exertion muscle recovery and normal muscle function
- Helps maintain coat condition and skin integrity
- Supports the body's normal inflammatory response
- Helps maintain normal pH balance
FAQ
Can I feed it alongside [other supplement]?
Yes, but check whether you actually need both. We built Equine Intact™ specifically so most owners can simplify their stack. If you're not sure, reply to any email with your label list and we'll walk through it.
What if my horse won't eat it?
Mix into palatable feed (alfalfa pellets, soaked beet pulp). Most horses accept after 2-3 feedings. If yours doesn't after a week, reply — the refund window is real.
Will this fail a competition drug test?
Ingredients are mineral and botanical, not pharmacological. We are not USEF or FEI tested for show eligibility — confirm with your governing body if you compete under banned-substance rules.
Is it safe for foals or seniors?
Appropriate across life stages at body-weight dosing. Talk to your vet for specific guidance on foals, broodmares, or horses with managed conditions.
How long until I notice changes?
Most owners report visible coat and condition changes by week 4-6 with consistent daily use. Internal-system support builds gradually; this isn't a fast-acting product and it shouldn't be.
Subscribe & Save — what's the catch?
Same product, $25 off per refill, ships every 150 days by default (matches a ~157-day bottle). Skip, swap, or cancel anytime from your account. No catch.
