Why We Built Four Products, Not One — A Brand Thesis
OmniVita FoundersShare
The easy play in wellness is to build one product that promises to do everything for everyone. We didn’t do that. Here’s why.
The one-product-fits-all trap
Walk the wellness aisle and you’ll see the same pattern: greens powders that claim to support immunity, energy, gut health, recovery, focus, sleep, and longevity in a single scoop. Multi-symptom claims, single-product convenience.
That positioning works for one kind of customer — the adult who wants one scoop, one job, every morning. The AG1 audience is real, and AG1 serves it well. We’re not arguing against the format.
But the format breaks down when the household isn’t one adult buying one product. It breaks down when the same family has a horse and a couple of pets. It breaks down when the active adult needs the recovery layer in the evening but the daily baseline in the morning. It breaks down when the dog needs dosing by weight but the horse needs dosing by ration.
One product can’t honestly serve four audiences. That’s the founding observation.
What four products lets us do honestly
Dose for the species
A 90-lb dog is not a 1,200-lb horse is not a 180-lb adult. The recommended daily intake of magnesium for a horse is roughly 8 grams. For a dog, roughly 150 mg. For an adult, roughly 420 mg. The same scoop dosed for the species would be either useless or unsafe — we don’t have to argue about it.
Four products lets us dose honestly: a scoop for the horse, a drop-chart for the dog/cat, a teaspoon for the adult, and a recovery-tuned mineral profile for the athlete. Each gets the right dose for the right use case. Nothing is approximated.
Frame the ritual where it actually happens
The horse-supplement ritual happens at the feed pan. The pet-supplement ritual happens at the food bowl. The adult gut-health ritual happens at the bedside in the evening. The athlete-recovery ritual happens after the session or before bed.
Four products lets us speak to each ritual where it lives. The packaging, the dosing instructions, the timing recommendations — all of it can be specific instead of generalized. The Equine Intact label talks about top-dressing onto grain. The Pet Intact label talks about drops per ten pounds. The Intact Digest label talks about evening protocol. Each is built for the moment of use.
Compliance-clean labeling per species
Equine and pet supplements are regulated under AAFCO. Human supplements are regulated under DSHEA + 21 CFR 101/111. The labeling requirements, the claims rules, and the substantiation standards are different.
Trying to label a single multi-species product that satisfies all three regulatory frameworks is a losing game — you end up with the lowest-common-denominator language that doesn’t help any of the three audiences. Four products lets us write four labels, each compliant with the right framework, each speaking honestly to the right buyer.
One technology, four products
The thing that makes four products feel like one brand instead of four siloed products: every product is built on the same Nutri-Mastic™ foundation. Mastic gum from Chios. Full ionic mineral panel from seawater sources. The science is the same. The Certificate of Analysis covers the same ingredient family. The Science page applies to all four.
What changes between products: the dose, the format, the mineral ratios tuned to the use case, the regulatory framework, the audience voice, and the ritual frame. What stays the same: the technology, the brand standards, the labeling rigor, and the FDA-compliant structure/function-only language.
Why not just one human product?
Because the founding observation was multi-species. The active-wellness household doesn’t end at the adult. The horse owner who reads ingredient labels for themselves reads them for the horse too. The pet parent who buys premium pet food cares about the dog’s supplement just as much as their own. We didn’t want to be a human-wellness brand that happens to also have a horse product. We wanted to be a multi-species wellness brand that earns the trust of the household across all four members.
Four products is the format that lets us mean that.
Why not even more — why stop at four?
We could add. Cat-specific dosing. Senior-pet-specific formulations. Pediatric. Equine performance vs. equine maintenance. Each of those is a real audience.
We held to four for launch because each product had to earn the shelf space individually. Equine Intact is the working horse’s daily ration. Pet Intact is the dog/cat household’s daily ration. Intact Digest is the wellness-fluent adult’s daily baseline. Intact Endurance is the active adult’s recovery layer. Each is a real product with a real customer, not a marketing-driven SKU expansion.
If a fifth product earns its own customer over time, we’ll build it. We won’t add SKUs to look bigger than we are.
What we’re asking the customer to do
If you’re a single-product, single-audience buyer — start with whichever product fits your household. Most customers come in through one product (often Intact Digest™ or Pet Intact™) and add others as the routine settles in.
If you’re a multi-species household from day one — the Multi-Species Household bundle is the entry point. One shipment, three products, all on the same Nutri-Mastic™ foundation.
Either way: the four-product structure is the brand. It’s why we exist. If we’d built one product and called it good, we’d be a clone of something that already exists. Four products on one technology, dosed honestly per audience, is the differentiator.
That’s the thesis. The rest of the brand is built around it.
